What data we collect

When you use Taro Tailor, we collect the following:

• Photos you upload for design transformation — processed and deleted within 24 hours.
• A unique device identifier used to track your free and paid generation usage.
• Subscription status and billing information, managed by Apple App Store.
• Basic usage analytics — which styles and room types you use most.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Generate AI design previews from the photos you upload.
• Manage your subscription and usage limits.
• Improve the quality of our AI models and design styles.
• Send service updates — we do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

Third-party processors

We share data with the following services to operate Taro Tailor:

• Google AI (via Replicate) — processes your uploaded photos to generate design previews. Photos are processed in transit and not stored permanently.
• Railway — hosts our API servers. Generation metadata and usage counts are stored in a database on Railway infrastructure.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription verification and receipt validation.
• Apple — processes payments for subscriptions through the App Store.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a usable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Data retention

Uploaded photos are processed and deleted within 24 hours. Generated design previews are stored on your device and in our database for as long as your account is active. Usage analytics are retained for up to 12 months. If you delete your account, we will remove all associated data within 30 days.
